We intend to strengthen our expertise in Contract Law/Tort Law/Remedies in Contract and Tort Law and/or Family Law

Candidates applying at Level 4 will have evidence of registration for a PhD as well as significant progress towards completion and candidates applying at Level 5 will have a PhD in Law or equivalent professional qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to make an all-around contribution to education and research delivery as well as fulfil a leadership role in the School.

You will be expected to have a research profile including published work and external research funding engagement commensurate with your career stage. You will be committed to high-quality research and to building a vibrant student experience and community. Visible and collegiate, you will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the School’s activities including student recruitment and outreach.

Research in the Law School currently clusters around several research centres including those for Property, People and Community Centre; Private and Commercial Law (PCL); Maritime Law (IML); Law; International Law and Globalisation; Global Constitutionalism, Law and Technology, the Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law and the Centre for Criminal Justice. Colleagues are also involved in individual and collaborative scholarship in numerous other fields, often interdisciplinary.
